5 weeks from Thursday March 1st 2018 Masterpieces of Art Nouveau : Dalila Castelijn
10.15 am until 12.15 pm Cost £50.00
The course provides an introduction to the art and architecture produced in Europe between 1890 and 1914. Inspired by the natural world, artists aimed to create works appropriate for the modern world and established a style based on sinuous lines, elongated forms and the use of exotic materials. Mucha and Gaudi, Horta and Beardsley, Tiffany and Toulouse-Lautrec are among the artists to be considered.
Dalila Castelijn teaches for both WEA and the Open University. She specialises in Renaissance art and architecture.
